The Queen Elizabeth National Park in South western Uganda is one of the best destinations for a short wildlife safari experience starting from Kasese and can also be explored by Groups from Fort Portal.
Kasese Town is located, approximately 20 minutes from Queen Elizabeth National Park. Kasese is also home to the Rwenzori Mountains.
The Queen Elizabeth is famous for the tree climbing lions, the boat safari along Kazinga Channel, as well as Kyambura Gorge, the twin lakes, a variety of wildlife ranging from Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hippos among other surprises.
1 day Queen Elizabeth Safari Itinerary from Kasese.
We start from Kasese at 5.30 am and drive appx, 30 minutes to begin our game drive in Queen which lasts another 3 hours. We take a lunch break at one of the nice lodges for an hour. Then drive to the Mweya Peninsular for the boat safari along the Kazinga Channel which lasts for 2 hours. After which we head back to Mbarara arriving late evening.
