Lake Bunyonyi literally means “the place of many little birds” if translated into the Local dialect. Lake Bunyonyi is located in southwestern Uganda between between Kisoro and Kabale and also boarders Rwanda just 2 and half hours from Mbarara Town. The Lake is popular for canoeing and Bird watching as well as the amazing sightseeing.  The Lake is thought to be approximately 900 meters deep, which if true makes it the second deepest lake in Africa.  The lake is said to be Bilharzia free and accessed for swimming by the guests. The lake comprises of 29 islands with terraced hills that create very amazing scenaries.
